222-

Last time in they story of What-the-Dickens, Pepper and What-the-Dickens were stuck in a huge mess. After trying to take a tooth from the young boy named Gage (aka the older cousin) Pepper becomes trapped in a cage on his dresser. When What-the-Dickens ask Pepper if he can help in anyway she urges him to leave for his own benefit. She then procceeds to tell him about her unlucky fate. I guess Skibbereens become some sort of a plant looking thing when they die. They can only live in captivity for a short period of time. Well this really upsets What-the-Dickens and he promises Pepper that he will finish her legacy by succeeding in the impossible task. After What-the-Dickens leaves, Gage returns and decides to chat with Pepper. Pepper, however does not feel like talking and barely responds to Gage's questions.

While Pepper is stuck with Gage, What-the-Dickens visits the second impossible task. The name of the person he is supposed to take the tooth from is Lee Gangster. Once he arrives at Lee Gangster's house he is astonished to discover Lee Gangster is no other than the kooky lady from the beginning of the book. She remembers What-the-Dickens voice and greets him warmly until he asks for her tooth. She refuses to hand over the tooth so What-the-Dickens threatens her. What-the-Dickens believes that if he does not snatch up the tooth, Pepper's life with be in even more danger. After harassing the old lady for a good ten mniutes, she calls out to her grandson asking if he can kill the talking bug in her room. Of course the grandson  thinks she's crazy and just tells her to go back to sleep.

Well that's all folks. These couple of chapters kind of drag on a little bit too much for my liking. This style of book is different from what I usually read but like by mom always says "you have to broaden your horizons"...nah she really doesn't say that.
